About the Role
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of telehandlers on construction and civil worksites, ensuring materials are moved, lifted, and placed in accordance with site requirements and health and safety procedures.

• Monday to Friday, 7 am to 5 pm,

• Location: Seaview

• Minimum of 2 years proven experience required

Key Responsibilities

• Operate telehandlers safely and efficiently.

• Load, unload, transport, and position materials around site.

• Conduct daily pre-start inspections and equipment checks.

• Complete basic maintenance and report faults or defects.

• Follow site-specific safety procedures and lift plans.

• Work closely with supervisors, contractors, and site personnel.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Comply with all company and legislative health and safety requirements.

Minimum Requirements To be considered for this position, you must have:

• NZQA Unit Standard 23637 (Operate a forklift fitted with a telescopic lifting attachment (telehandler)) – mandatory.

• Full New Zealand Class 1 Driver Licence.

• Current Wheels (W) endorsement.

• Current F Endorsement (preferred) or ability to obtain.

• Previous telehandler operating experience in construction, civil, infrastructure, industrial, or logistics environments.

• Strong understanding of safe lifting and load-handling practices.

• Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

• Additional NZQA plant operating unit standards.

• Experience working on commercial construction projects.

• Site Safe Passport.

• Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 requirements.

• Experience working around mobile plant and high-risk construction activities.
